BEING AND WELL BEING – Traditional diets from the Mediterranean and beyond

On November 27th the second event in the framework of the initiative ‘Mediterranean Diet principles for Agenda 2030’ will take place at the Sheikh Zayed Center of FAO. The initiative is promoted by the Permanent Representation of Italy in collaboration with FAO. As for the inaugural day of the initiative that took place last September, the discussion will be opened by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Elisabetta Belloni and by FAO Director General Qu Dongyu. In this occasion, the event will focus on the beneficial effects that the Mediterranean Diet and other traditional diets have on health, with academic interventions coming from Italy, Portugal, Lebanon, Mexico, Japan and Kenya.
